Pengolahan makanan yang tidak tepat menurutnya juga sering menjadi penyebab tingginya kolesterol. "Menggoreng masakan, apa pun jenis minyaknya di dalam tubuh akan diubah jadi kolesterol," katanya.

Utamakan pula mengasup sumber makanan yang diperlukan tubuh dan tidak bisa diproduksi tubuh, misalnya asam lemak esensial. "Omega 3 dan 6 harus dipenuhi dari sumber makanan sehari-hari, sementara kolesterol sudah dibuat sendiri oleh tubuh," katanya.
